Guantánamo jail switch planned ~ US inmates face threat of worse abuse under scheme to send them to prisons in their own countries

This is quite shocking, the US has clearly lost the moral ground if they send the inmates to places like Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan and Yemen, they are basically saying ok to torture, Saudi is hardly a democracy, Afgahistan is run by warlords, do they really expect these countries to look after the inmates? This is disgusting. Guantánamo is already a blot on America, does the Geneva Convention relative to the Treatment of Prisoners of War mean nothing to these people?
