Uzbekistan's Nightmare: Made in Washington Why our government stands by Karimov– even as he massacres his own people by Justin Raimondo
Doctor: Uzbek protest toll about 500
The whole Uzbekistan crisis makes me so angry, that the Neocons will happliy talk about 'democracy' when it best suits them. They stand by while 500 are masscred by a piece of scumbag like Karimov, a guy who boils his prisoners alive! Bush (and yes even Blair) back this mass murdering bastard cause he is a 'ally' on the 'war on terra' so its ok to boil your prisoners and fire on unarmed protestors as long as your on their side, Karimov is just like Saddam, how long till he has outlived his usefulness and America will decided to invade his country? The hypocrisy is reaking from every pour.
Once again its one rule for the Neocons, and normal rules for everyone else. The death and destruction in Uzbekistan makes me more bitter over the Iraq war, which was only about establishing American hegemony over the Middle East not to mention they sit on oil reserves. America is making the same blunders as Britain and France, their arrogance will be their undoing, which we can already see in Iraq, which remains a mess with bombings and a resentful sunni populace. America cannot afford to start another war, they are pinned down in Iraq and Afganistan, to start a 2nd front would be sucidial, but Neocons are never wise, so they will probaly ingnore professional advice and go round bombing anyone who has natural resources, where the greates profit can be made.
They don't want democracy in the Middle East, all they want is profit, they could care less about the ordinary people.
Palestinian death strains ceasefire
If America was a little more neutral over the Israeli/Palestinian conflict perhaps their relationships in the Middle East would be better. Their ham handed way they are invovled in the Israeli/Palestinian crisis is causing death and misery. We need a neutral force.

how u can see the truth !!!
When a Palestinian turns on the television or flips through a newspaper, he/she always encounter some form of misrepresenation of the Palestinian people. The word "terrorist" is constantly repeated in the media when describing Palestinians. When a Palestinian blows up an Israeli bus, he is labeled as a terrorist, but when an Israeli soldier aims and shoots at the eyes and heads of Palestinian children, he is a soldier defending himself. When six, seven, or even eight Palestinians are killed each day, the story is usually hidden at the end of the newspaper or does not even make the evening news. But when an Israeli dies, it is on every single major television network and all over the newspapers.
The media plays a very important role in modern politics because it is responsible for providing information to the public. What people read or watch on television has an enormous influence on how people think and behave. The media's perception and presentation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict has caused the public to be misinformed and confused.
The public and even some journalists are not aware of the history that exists between the Palestinians and the Israelis. Do the people know of the British betrayal of the Palestinian people after World War I? Do people know what the Sykes-Picot Agreement is, or the significance of the Balfour Declaration? In order for people to understand what is going on between the Palestinians and the Israelis, they need to be accurately informed and have a clear understanding of the history of that region.
However, what the viewer sees on television is a thirty second segment of a blown up bus and women and children crying while the anchor explains that this is another, "Palestinian terrorist attack on Israel." Lately, it has been the image of young boys throwing rocks at Israeli soldiers while the reporter is interviewing an Israeli official who accuses Palestinian parents of sending their children to the front line to get sympathy from the world. Regarding the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, the media presents the same theme over and over again and portrays Israel as the victim and the Palestinians as the villain and as aggressors.

Protests spread across Muslim world
Afghan Protests Spread
This is a clear example of cultural insensativity, the allegations that a Qu'ran was descrated at Gutamono Bay will not win America any friends in the Middle East, this is bad PR and can only make America more unpopular than she already is.
Uzbeks killed as soldiers open fire on rally
I wonder when Uzbekistan will be 'liberated'? OH I forget he is our dictator thats fine, ok so he boils his prisoners alive but you know as long as he obeys his masters (the USA) its allowed. This hypocrisity makes me so mad, no wonder I had misgivings about the Iraq war, in the end its they are all liars.

"they have no human feeling"
According to my Palestinian friend the guy who you see executed was innocent.
Photo 1 shows how the Isralies regularly stop Palestinians on the street and ask for ID, this is very humiliating according to my friend.
In photo 2 we see the Israeli soldiers arresting the two men, they try and force them into the jeep and take them to prision in my friends own words "then the 2 men know that they wont to take them to prisone just they want to kill them becouse this party in israeli army love to kill the people which called the border watch or meshmar gvol in hebrow langauge"
The two men start shouting in the 3rd photo, their clothes are taken off to make sure he did not have a bomb strapped to his person, which he didn't, in the 4th photo the Israeli captain comes to execute him.
The 5th photo shows his execution.
The machine in pictue 6 is set up to give the appearance it is searching the executed man, which allows the Israeli soldiers made the claim he was a suicide bomber when he was nothing of the sort. In short according to my Palestinian friend it was cold blooded murder.
The Israeli soldiers were not charged with anything.

Blair secures historic third term
Well Labour get in, with a clipped majority so its not too bad plus the Tories didn't win, so thats a bonus. I'm happy the Lib Dems have done well in this election, they deserve so much more.
Results for Devizes
Michael Ancram keeps his seat of Devizes but the Labour and Liberal vote combined is more than Michael Ancram got all together.
