The 'Modernisation' of the Lib Dems: Corporatism with a Human Face and Blarism Redux
Its mad the way the Lib Dems attack Charles Kennedy, when it is quite clear he is popular with the people, he has a natural empathy and he was against the war and because he is not seen as part of the 'Whitehall bureaucratic carrerist' circle, he is shown to be mortal.
They also want to grab the mythical centre ground as well, so yet another reason to get rid of a popular leader like Charles Kennedy.
Since the Lib Dems have increased in size and gained a bit more influence, this has increased the egos of certain memebers of the party who want the top spot because they are power crazed, Charles Kennedy stands in the way of their inflated ambitions.
The Liberal Democrats had to chance to become a real alternative to New Labour, instead they want to become them.
I am very disappointed with the party as a whole.
