At the risk of seeming cavilling and ungracious, it must be observed that either the caption is inaccurate, or Heidi has learned to sleep with her lovely eyes wide open!

If so, one can only assume that Heidi acquired his odd habit to ensure that no one removes, or switches off, any nearby heaters when she is asleep! ;)

Meanwhile, doubtless exhausted from standing a long watch by the window, George is magnificent in repose. Again. As usual.

PS: Now that the snow has finally melted from most of my tiny back yard, for the first time this year I observed Mister Chipmunk out competing with the squirrels and birds for the feed I scattered.

I don't know whether there are charming chipmunks in Devizes, but I fear that the royal couple would perceive them as a tempting royal snack.
