Musings on Europe
Britain has had a long and difficult relationship with Europe.
It nearly destroyed the Tory party in the 90s, the wounds still have not healed.
I think superficially we have much in common with America with a shared language, similar economies, bonkers leaders but I think our heart is closer to Europe politically, culturally and historically.
I don't agree with everything the EU does, god knows I don't like their trade policies or their dodgy history of dealing with countries with poor human rights records and I think its become a bit of a bloated monster which has divorced itself from ordinary Europeans but I do believe in some form of united Europe, not federal but economic.
