This week's offering is distinctly surrealistic.

The mixed warm and cool light sources playing on Heidi's velvety coat impart a Cheshire Cat effect, as if she's in the process of either materializing or dematerializing.

Too bad she's got a bit of toilet paper stuck to her paw, but that's happened to all of us at one time or another-- especially if we're in the process of getting nicely toasted.

It doesn't detract from the portrait at all. ;)

And this is a quite unusual view of George-- peering down from a high shelf, I take it.

At first, the shadow cutting cleanly across his neckline gave an impression that he was under water!

But, regardless of how rare and wonderful a cat George is, I do not expect to see any photos of him calmly soaking in a tub.
