Triviality/I Just Don't Care
At a time when the world is facing an economic meltdown, and there is ongoing violence in Somalia, Iraq, Afghanistan, the Congo, bombing raids in Syria, yet this news story somehow is the leading news item.
More people phone in to complain about two overpaid TV stars ill judged behaviour and show more care for such trivial bollocks than small things like bank bailouts, illegal invasions etc.
Naturally the same old tired arguments from certain sections who have always wanted to kick the Beeb and destroy it, are trotted out, 'abolish the license fee' or 'let the free market decided' (oh the irony considering what the 'free' market has done to the world's economic systems), blah, blah, blah. Frankly head down that path and you end up with the sewer drain that is Fox News.
The BBC is not perfect but I will always support it, I'd rather be in a world with it in than without it
I for one won't be jumping on the tabloid whipped moral outrage bandwagon
